This prior bank space turned members only speakeasy takes patrons from present-day to a 1920’s old Hollywood Prohibition Basement. The 1,500-square-foot project is accessed via an industrial restaurant staircase and serves up high-end cocktails amongst rich textures like luxe leathers, plush velvets, and a stunning quartzite bar.
The design inspiration of Art Deco meets modern moment incorporates bold pops of emerald greens inspired by the palm leaves of California as well as Spanish-style brown hues. Brass finishes were integrated within the bar and lighting fixtures to encourage an antique feel while the vault boasts lounge-style seating.
To best maximize the constrained space of the vault, space planning was integral to test-fit various furniture and banquette scenarios. In the main seating area, two large banquettes are complemented by a main lounge seating area to best create a diverse plan that facilitated varied seating options based on the number of guests in a given party.
This project has been completed with design development, space planning, aesthetic development, and FF&E selections completed by Studio Cee.
