This captivating 1,500-square-foot speakeasy, housed within a former bank space, transports patrons back to the glamorous era of 1920s Hollywood. Accessed via an industrial restaurant staircase, the intimate space evokes a sense of intrigue and discovery. Guests are greeted by a sophisticated ambiance, where rich textures like luxe leathers and plush velvets intertwine with a stunning quartzite bar.
The design draws inspiration from the Art Deco movement while incorporating a modern sensibility. Bold pops of emerald green, reminiscent of California palm leaves, contrast with warm Spanish-style brown hues, creating a captivating and sophisticated color palette. Brass finishes are integrated throughout the bar and lighting fixtures, adding a touch of antique glamour. The vault, a striking architectural feature, has been transformed into an exclusive lounge area with plush seating.
Maximizing the limited space within the vault required careful space planning. Through rigorous testing and experimentation, we developed a layout that incorporates two large banquettes and a main lounge seating area, offering a variety of seating options to accommodate different group sizes and create a dynamic social experience.
Studio Cee provided comprehensive design services for this project, including design development, space planning, aesthetic development, and the selection of all furnishings, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
